Crit with Lorenzo

After talking with Lorenzo he's made me focus on what I actually want to do.
YES think about how you can answer the brief but in what way can you do it that benefits you and makes you able to do what you want to do.

Also if something has hit a block wall do another project for a while and then go back to it with fresh ideas.
And get all those ideas written down and on paper to look at and pick a few and run with them.

Open publication - Free publishing - More graphic design

A few more layout design ideas for the book for the photographer. I really want to create something simplistic yet interesting, keeps people looking through the book. I also want to introduce typographic pages. However I do like the type on the front page.

Open publication - Free publishing - More book

To promote the photographer I want to create different smaller books with each style of photography.. Such as documentary, fashion, wedding etc.. I really like the idea of having pages within the book of pure type to express the documentary of a friends travels

Another idea for the logo could be to use a shape as the background.. HOWEVER I really dont like this design as it doesn't fit right.

Open publication - Free publishing - More colour

I am still developing the logo, however I am trying to introduce some colour into the design to see if this enhances it or changes my view.
For the Betty Brown logo I want it to have a pattern alongside the type.
It would have to be a  wholesome pattern, which would remind you of things you do with family. Such as picnics or seaside hoidays.

Gingham was the first pattern that I thought about, however I am not entirely sure. I think it came to me because of my nana's homemade jams.

I think it works better with the colour circle, although I am still not 100%

I also don't think it works having the white type straight on the pattern as it is lost, and doesnt really stand out, which isn't what I was going for.
