Statement of intent

In this next, and final year of university I want to focus my design practice into what I like doing most, this is designs for publications, experimenting with type, and mixing type and photography together. I however also want to research more into design for web, look into making myself a fully functioning high quality professional website. Within third year I would like to do a lot of branding and corporate identities for companies, allowing me to create a range of designs for different medias; such as packaging, web pages, promotional products etc.

I also want to keep up to date with the graphic design industry and strengthen the links i already have with contacts and gain more. As I am looking to go into a job of which I love (ideally) when I finish. So i intend to research into the industry as best I can to find the possibilities for when I leave. I also want to gain as many placements as possible, to not only reassure myself of the kind of place I want to work in and also the design aspect; but also to look at the links.

I hope this next year to have a strong portfolio in the style of design I like doing and what I see myself creating in the future. Also to have gained many more placements and links to the industry to put me in the right path to get a job on leaving uni. I also want to enjoy this year of having the ability to create any designs I want to show what ability I really have, and the style of design I would bring to a company.
